Red River College Turkey Cook–Off – 2008
Congratulations to both Tyler Kaktins and Heather Neskar who tied for first place, and to Jeremy Gardner, who received second place in the Red River College Culinary Arts “Turkey Cook–Off.” This annual event is a joint venture between the College and Manitoba Turkey Producers.
Tyler Kaktins is a second year student and is extremely enthusiastic about the future of Manitoba grown and produced food. His dream is to own a small bakery where he can share his passion for Manitoba foods with everyone.
Heather Neskar recently graduated with a Culinary Arts Diploma and currently works at Tre Visi Restaurant located in the Exchange District. In the future, Heather would love to do some travelling and experience different cultures – first stop, Spain.
Currently completing his second year of Red River College, Jeremy Gardner is intrigued by culinary arts, and has developed a true love for cooking. Jeremy will be completing his second and final work term at The Fairmont Algonquin Resort in New Brunswick.
